APHES/BES Award 2011

Conference paper awarded:

"A endogamia nas relações de cooperação em redes mercantis da 'Primeira Idade Global'. O caso da rede de Simon Ruiz (1553-1597)", Ana Sofia Ribeiro

Jury panel report:

"The APHES/BES Award aims to distinguish research that can be pinpointed as exemplary. In 8 to 12 thousand words, as stipulated in its regulations, it is expected that the work presents a clear problematisation, the correct methodological development, state-of-the-art bibliography as well as being a formally well-written work. Originality, creativity in the themes' choice, methodology and the arguments presented are all distinguishing factors that will be recognised and stimulated. With this in mind, the panel has awarded the prize to the above-mentioned conference paper."
