Arca Comunis

Arca Comunis is a network of research projects on the History of the Treasury and Spanish Taxation (XIII-XVIII centuries) and its relations with other European models. This network is open to all projects with similar purposes within or outside our borders, as well as to individual researchers by invitation of the Steering Committee.
Arca Comunis aims to study the incidence of taxation on all aspects of "state construction" and the societies that generate it. In this sense, the network seeks to welcome in a single space the work of medievalists, modernists, and historians of other disciplines interested in the problem.
The regulation of the network is established by an interuniversity agreement. The physical location, coordination and legal representation of Arca Comunis are fixed, by the constitutive agreement, at the University of Málaga.
Arca Comunis is associated, through a stable agreement, for the dissemination of results, teaching and research, with the Institute of Fiscal Studies.
